From the East

It has been a great first half of the year. We have raised a few brothers, had a couple of events and completed some much needed beautification work to the lodge exterior as well as the house next door.

Some brothers of the lodge helped with a Stratford town project to help build the David Ryan Keeley Memorial Garden at Nichols School. It was an opportunity for us brothers to do some operative masonry and we had a great time doing it.

Our Summer Picnic is upon us and you’ll likely read this by time the picnic is here. I hope you had a great time shared with brothers, friends and family.

NEW EVENT: We are sponsoring a Car & Motorcycle Show on Sept 22nd at the Curtis Hanger in Stratford. We will need help to support the event. It is a great opportunity to have fun and raise funds for the lodge.

We are also in need of a bathroom remodel before we start up again in September. WE NEED BROTHERS TO HELP. No experience required! If you have time we’d love for you to contribute.

Finally, in order to maintain new events we need more brothers to support on Committees. If you would like to help out please let me know.

I have to thank all the officers for their support and the entire craft for making this year go as well as it has so far.

A Message From Your Secretary

Brothers – three, quick and important notes to be aware of:

1) Grand Lodge has completed their Grand Lodge Lifetime Membership Plan and details are available to brothers who are interested. The easiest way to incorporate this Plan at scale will be through a lodge bylaw change. More details to come and let me know if you have questions. We will have this Plan available for 2020 dues.
2) If you have any change of information to please let me know so that I can update my records and our Grand Lodge records.
3) And don’t forget our new website, on which you can do the following:

  • Pay your dues online
  • View the full calendar of events

*NOTE: the Google calendar can be downloaded and integrated into your phone’s calendar or viewed separately.
